Removal





4GR-FSE COOLING: RADIATOR: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)

NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER Removal

6. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER Removal

8. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER

9. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

10. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR Removal

11. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY Removal

12. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

(a) Remove the 2 clips.

(b) Disconnect the 2 clips and remove the radiator support opening cover.





13. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Removal

14. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER

(a) Remove the 3 screws, clamp and hood lock control cable cover.





15. REMOVE HOOD LOCK NUT CAP Removal

16. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal

17. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT

(a) Disconnect the 4 wire harness clamps and 3 connectors.





(b) Disconnect the clamp and cooling fan motor connector.





(c) Disconnect the clamp and No. 2 cooling fan motor connector.





(d) Disconnect the 6 clamps and No. 2 engine room wire.





(e) Remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support.





18. REMOVE RESERVE TANK CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the reserve tank cap sub-assembly from the reserve tank.





19. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

(a) Remove the 2 clips and No. 1 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.





20. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

(a) Remove the 2 clamps and No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.





21. SEPARATE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and separate the cooler condenser assembly from the radiator assembly.





22. REMOVE OUTLET ENGINE ROOM ECU DUCT

(a) Remove the outlet engine room ECU duct from the engine room ECU box.

23. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the radiator assembly from the vehicle together with the cooling fan assembly.





NOTICE:
Make sure that the cooler condenser assembly and radiator assembly do not come into contact with each other.

(b) Release the 3 claws and lift the cooling fan assembly from the radiator assembly.





(c) Remove the 2 radiator support cushions and 2 lower radiator supports.
