Installation

A760H AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the floor shift assembly with the 4 bolts.

Torque : 8.3 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 73 in-lbf)

(b) Connect the connector to the floor shift assembly.

2. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Turn the control shaft lever of the park/neutral position switch counterclockwise until it stops, and turn it clockwise 2 notches to set it to the N position.





(b) Move the shift lever to the N position and tighten the nut while lightly pushing the lever toward the R position.

Torque : 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Do not push the shift lever too hard.

6. INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT Installation

7. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX Installation

8. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY (w/ Ashtray) Installation

9. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY (w/o Ashtray) Installation

10. INSTALL FRONT ASH RECEPTACLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Ashtray) Installation

11. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX ASSEMBLY (w/o Ashtray) Installation

12. INSTALL CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

13. INSTALL UPPER NO. 2 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH Installation

14. INSTALL UPPER NO. 1 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH Installation

15. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

16. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

17. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION Adjustments

18. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK (for 4GR-FSE) Installation

19. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK (for 2GR-FSE) Installation
