SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the 2 connectors and the 2 clamps to the front passenger airbag assembly.





NOTICE:
When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(b) Engage the 5 hooks (A).





(c) Engage the 5 hooks (B) and install the front passenger airbag assembly on the instrument panel.

(d) Install the 2 screws.





2. INSTALL SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE NO.2 DUCT Reassembly

3. INSTALL HEATER TO REGISTER NO.3 DUCT Reassembly

4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY

5. CONNECT INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connector.





6. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY Installation

7. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation

8. INSTALL NO.2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

9. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH Installation

10. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH Installation

11. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE (w/ Illumination)

12. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE (w/o Illumination)

13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

14. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Inspect the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
