INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
* Because the order of diagnosis is important to allow correct diagnosis, make sure to begin troubleshooting using How to Proceed with Troubleshooting when CAN communication system related DTCs are output How to Proceed With Troubleshooting.
* After performing repairs, perform the procedure listed in DTC Reproduction Method and confirm that the DTCs are not output again.
* DTC Reproduction Method: Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait at least 60 seconds, and then drive the vehicle at a speed of 15 km/h (9 mph) or more for at least 2 seconds.
* After the repair, perform CAN Bus Check and check that all the ECUs and sensors connected to the CAN communication system are displayed Diagnosis System.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK OPEN IN CAN BUS LINE (SKID CONTROL ECU BRANCH LINE)
(a) Turn the engine switch off.
(b) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (CAN-H, CAN-L)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG1, GND1)
(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / DTC.
(d) Check for DTCs.
OK:
C1241 is not output.
NG -- GO TO DTC CHART Vehicle Stability Control System
OK -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (SKID CONTROL ECU) Removal
