INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
* Because the order of diagnosis is important to allow correct diagnosis, make sure to begin troubleshooting using How to Proceed with Troubleshooting when CAN communication system related DTCs are output How to Proceed With Troubleshooting.
* After performing repairs, perform the procedure listed in DTC Reproduction Method and confirm that the DTCs are not output again.
* DTC Reproduction Method: Drive the vehicle at a speed of 60 km/h (38 mph) or more for at least 2 seconds.
* After the repair, perform CAN Bus Check and check that all the ECUs and sensors connected to the CAN communication system are displayed Diagnosis System.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK OPEN IN CAN BUS LINE (4WD CONTROL ECU BRANCH LINE)
(a) Turn the engine switch off.
(b) Disconnect the 4WD control ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE 4WD CONTROL ECU BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (CANH, CANL)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG1, GND)
(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE 4WD CONTROL ECU
