Removal





EXTERIOR: REAR SPOILER: REMOVAL

HINT
When removing the spoiler, heat the vehicle body and spoiler using a heat light.

Heating Temperature





NOTICE:
Do not heat the vehicle body and spoiler excessively.

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP

2. REMOVE LUGGAGE LOCK CONTROL CABLE PLATE Disassembly

3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE Disassembly

4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER

5. REMOVE REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Put protective tape around the spoiler.





(b) Remove the 2 nuts.

(c) Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and spoiler.

(d) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

(e) Pull the piano wire and cut through the double-sided tape while disengaging the 5 clips from the vehicle body.

NOTICE:
* If reusing the spoiler, take care not to damage the spoiler.
* Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(f) Remove the rear spoiler sub-assembly.
