2AZ-FXE ENGINE MECHANICAL: REAR CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ENGINE REAR OIL SEAL

(a) Apply MP grease to a new oil seal lip.

NOTICE:
Keep the lip free from foreign matter.

(b) Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal until its surface is flush with the rear oil seal retainer edge.

NOTICE:
Wipe off extra grease from the crankshaft.

2. INSTALL FLYWHEEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Using SST, hold the crankshaft.

(b) Clean the 8 bolts and bolt holes.

(c) Install the flywheel with 8 new bolts. Uniformly tighten 8 new bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.





Torque : 130 Nm (1330 kgf-cm, 96 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL TRANSMISSION INPUT DAMPER ASSEMBLY

(a) Clean the 6 bolt holes.

(b) Install the transmission input damper assembly with 6 new bolts.

Torque : 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf)

HINT
Take care not to insert the transmission input damper in the wrong direction.

4. INSTALL HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY
