SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

CAUTION:
* Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Service Precautions.
* If the side airbag has deployed, replace the If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat side airbag assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad, or front seat assembly with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage with a new one.
1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

Removal

2. DISCONNECT AIRBAG WIRE HARNESS

(a) Remove the 2 wire harness clamps.





(b) Disengage the claw and 3 clamps to disconnect the airbag wire harness.

(c) Disconnect the connector.





(d) Disengage the 2 clamps.

3. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

4. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT Disassembly

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

7. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD Disassembly

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 2 clamps.





(b) Remove the 2 nuts to remove the front seat side airbag assembly.

CAUTION:
* The nuts must not be reused.
* Make sure that the seat frame assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace the front seat assembly with a new one.
