Reassembly

SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat): REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE

(a) Engage the 2 hooks and 2 handle ends to install the seat track adjusting handle.

2. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the separate type front seatback spring assembly with the 4 bolts.

Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Engage the 7 clamps to install the front seat wire RH.

(b) Connect the 4 connectors.

4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Engage the 2 clamps to install the front seat wire.

5. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Engage the 2 clamps to install the seat heater control sub-assembly.

(b) Connect the connector.

6. INSTALL OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) Installation

7. INSTALL SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Side) Installation

8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Engage the 2 guides.

(b) Install the front seat cushion edge protector LH with the screw.

9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Engage the 2 guides.

(b) Install the front seat cushion edge protector LH with the screw.

10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Driver Side)

(a) Engage the 2 guides.

(b) Install the front seat cushion edge protector RH with the screw.

11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Engage the 2 guides.

(b) Install the front seat cushion edge protector RH with the screw.

12. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Engage the guide to install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

13. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

(a) Engage the guide to install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Engage the clip.

(b) Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

(c) Install the front seat lower cushion shield LH with the screw.

15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Driver Side)

(a) Engage the clip.

(b) Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

(c) Install the front seat lower cushion shield RH with the screw.

16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

Installation

17. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Clean the front seatback frame surface.

(b) Apply 4 pieces of double-sided tape to install a new front seatback cover to the front seatback frame.

18. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Clean the front seat cushion frame surface.

(b) Apply 3 pieces of double-sided tape to install a new front seat cushion cover to the front seat cushion frame.

19. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 14 new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

20. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Temporarily install the separate type front seatback cover with pad to the front seatback frame.

(b) Attach the bracket of the separate type front seatback cover to the front seatback spring assembly in the order indicated in the illustration.

(c) Engage the 2 hooks.

(d) Install the separate type front seatback cover bracket with the nut.

Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

CAUTION:
* For vehicles with side airbags, the seatback cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the side airbags may not deploy properly.
* Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
* Install the bracket securely.
(e) Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

(f) Engage the fastener.

(g) Close the 2 fasteners.

(h) Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seat back pad with 5 new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

(i) Engage the 2 fasteners.

21. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 21 new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

(b) Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

22. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Temporarily install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad to the front seat cushion frame.

(b) Engage each hook.

(d) w/ Seat Heater System:

(1) Engage the 2 clamps to connect the seat heater wire harness.

(2) Connect the connector.

(3) Engage the clamp to connect the seat heater wire harness.

(4) Connect the connector.

(e) Engage the fastener to secure the side airbag wire harness.

(f) Connect the rubber band.

23. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD

(a) Engage the 4 claws to install the front seat inner cushion shield.

24. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) Installation

25. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side) Installation

26. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

(a) Engage the clip.

(b) Engage the 11 claws.

(c) Install the front seat cushion shield with the screw.

27. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (for Driver Side)

(a) Install the vertical adjusting handle with the screw.

28. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

(a) Engage the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle.

29. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP

(a) Install the seat adjuster cover cap.

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
