DOOR / HATCH: BACK DOOR: ADJUSTMENT

HINT
* Centering bolts are used to mount the door hinge to the vehicle body and door. The door cannot be adjusted with the centering bolts installed. Substitute the centering bolts with standard bolts (with washers) when making adjustments.
* Specified torque for standard bolts is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.

1. INSPECT BACK DOOR

(a) Check that the clearance measurements of areas *a through *l are within each standard range.

2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD Removal

3. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX Removal

4. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD Removal

5. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH Removal

6. REMOVE REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD (w/o Woofer) Removal

7. REMOVE REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD (w/ Woofer) Removal

8. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH (w/o Woofer) Removal

9. REMOVE DECK TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER Removal

10. REMOVE REAR DECK TRIM COVER Removal

11. ADJUST BACK DOOR

(a) Before adjusting the upper end of the back door up and down or left and right, loosen the bolts.





(b) Tighten the body side hinge after the adjustment.

Torque : 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)

(c) Loosen the 3 bolts.





(d) Tighten the bolts after the adjustment.

Torque : 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)

14. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX LH (w/o Woofer) Installation

15. INSTALL REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD (w/o Woofer) Installation

16. INSTALL REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD (w/ Woofer) Installation

17. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX RH Installation

18. INSTALL REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD Installation
