Removal





DOOR / HATCH: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

Removal

2. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Removal

3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH

4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Removal.

5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

6. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

7. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

8. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.





10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)

(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock nut cap.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and hood lock bolt.

(c) Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock assembly.





11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)

(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock nut cap.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Disconnect the connector.

(c) Disengage the clamp.

(d) Remove the 2 bolts and hood lock bolt.

(e) Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock assembly.





12. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage each clamp shown in the illustration.

(b) Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.
