C1581 - Assist Map Number Un-Writing

DESCRIPTION

The power steering ECU assembly stores this DTC when it determines that the assist map is not written in the ECU.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the steering column assembly or power steering ECU assembly has been replaced, perform rotation angle sensor value initialization and torque sensor zero point calibration Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ASSIST MAP WRITING

(a) Perform assist map writing Programming and Relearning.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC is not output.

NG -- CHECK FOR DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

OK -- END

3. CHECK FOR DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

(a) Check for DTCs Diagnosis System.

OK:

DTC is not output.

HINT
If a CAN communication system DTC is output, first troubleshoot the CAN communication system malfunction, then perform the assist map writing again Programming and Relearning.

4. CHECK FOR DTC (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Check for DTCs Hybrid Control System.

OK:

DTC is not output.

If a hybrid control system DTC is output, first troubleshoot the hybrid control system, then perform assist map writing again Programming and Relearning.
