FRONT SUSPENSION: FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM: REMOVAL
HINT
* Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
* The following procedure is for the LH side.
1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
3. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH Removal
4. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH Removal
5. REMOVE NO. 1 BODY MOUNTING BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the 3 bolts and No. 1 body mounting bracket sub-assembly LH.
6. REMOVE NO. 1 BODY MOUNTING BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT
Perform the same procedure as the LH side.
7. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER
8. SEPARATE FRONT SPEED SENSOR WIRE Removal
9. SEPARATE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ HID Headlight System) Removal
10. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY Removal
11. SEPARATE FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY Replacement
12. REMOVE FRONT DISC
for Floating Type Caliper Removal
for Opposed Type Caliper Removal
13. SEPARATE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING Removal
14. SEPARATE STEERING KNUCKLE WITH AXLE ASSEMBLY Removal
15. REMOVE FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY Removal
16. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY
(a) Support the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly with a transmission jack.

NOTICE:
Be sure to place a wooden block between the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly and transmission jack.
(b) Loosen the nut of the No. 2 lower arm bracket assembly.
NOTICE:
Do not remove the nut.
(c) Remove the bolt, washer and nut on the front of the front lower suspension arm assembly.
(d) Remove the 5 bolts, nut, strut bar bracket reinforcement and front lower suspension arm assembly with the No. 2 lower arm bracket assembly.
17. REMOVE NO. 2 LOWER ARM BRACKET ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the nut, washer and No. 2 lower arm bracket assembly from the front lower suspension arm assembly.
