Removal





METER / GAUGE / DISPLAY: CLOCK: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:
* After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal Service Precautions.
* When disassembling the clock assembly, eliminate static electricity by touching the vehicle body to prevent the components from being damaged.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Navigation System for HDD)

3. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission) Removal

4. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission) Removal

5. REMOVE UPPER NO. 1 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH (for Automatic Transmission) Removal

6. REMOVE UPPER NO. 2 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH (for Automatic Transmission) Removal

7. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission) Removal

8. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission) Removal

9. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission) Removal

10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL COIN BOX (w/o Ashtray) Removal

11. REMOVE FRONT ASH RECEPTACLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Ashtray) Removal

12. REMOVE NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY Removal

13. REMOVE CENTER LOWER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL Removal

14. REMOVE INTEGRATION CONTROL PANEL WITH RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (w/o Navigation System) Removal

15. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIO BRACKET (w/o Navigation System) Removal

16. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET (w/o Navigation System) Removal

17. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (w/o Navigation System) Removal

18. REMOVE CLOCK SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Navigation System)

(a) Remove the 6 screws.





(b) Disengage the 5 claws and panel.





(c) Remove the 9 screws and cover.





(d) Disconnect the connector.





(e) Remove the clock sub-assembly.

19. REMOVE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY WITH RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System) Removal

20. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIO BRACKET (w/ Navigation System) Removal

21. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET (w/ Navigation System) Removal

22. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System) Removal

23. REMOVE CLOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System for DVD)

(a) Apply protective tape to the places shown in the illustration.

(b) Insert 2 precision screwdrivers (with a diameter of 1.5 or less) into the holes on both sides of the clock assembly at the angle as shown in the illustration.





NOTICE:
Do not pry on the clock assembly with the screwdrivers as it may damage the clock assembly.

HINT
If precision screwdrivers are not available, use in-vehicle tools (part No. 09135-53010).

(c) Insert a screwdriver from the underside of the hazard switch, and pull and remove the clock assembly.

NOTICE:
Do not pry on the hazard switch with the screwdriver as it may damage the switch.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

24. REMOVE CLOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System for HDD)

(a) Disengage the 2 clips and remove the clock assembly as shown in the illustration.
