INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
- When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver, read the IDs stored in the ECU using the Techstream and note them down before removal.
- It is necessary to perform initialization Initialization after registration Registration of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver if the ECU and/or one of the valve and transmitters have been replaced.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU - TIRE PRESSURE ANTENNA)

(a) Disconnect the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver J49 connector and tire pressure warning antenna A38 and Q29 connectors.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

HINT
Because the coaxial cable that is used for the tire pressure warning antenna consists of a center conductor and an outer shielding layer (-), this measurement should be performed to ensure that there is no malfunction in the coaxial cable.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ANTENNA

(a) Replace the tire pressure warning antenna Removal [for front side], Removal [for rear side]).

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK DTC

(a) Check for a Test Mode DTC Test Mode Procedure.
