B1266 - Short to B+ in Instrument Panel System Communication Bus Malfunction
B1267 - Short to GND in Instrument Panel System Communication Bus Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
If a +B short circuit or body ground short circuit is detected on the instrument panel system communication bus (BEAN), the instrument panel system communication bus (BEAN) is disabled and these DTCs are output.

PROCEDURE
1. SYSTEM CHECK
(a) Check the vehicle specification.
Result:
B -- SYSTEM CHECK
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Disconnect the Q37 connector.
(b) Clear the DTC Multiplex Communication System.
(c) Recheck for DTCs.
OK:
DTC B1266 or B1267 is not output.
NG -- SYSTEM CHECK
OK -- REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY Removal
3. SYSTEM CHECK
(a) Check the vehicle specification.
Result:
B -- CHECK DTC OUTPUT
A -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Reconnect the Q37 connector.*1
*1: w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System
(b) Disconnect the J49 connector.
(c) Clear the DTC Multiplex Communication System.
(d) Recheck for DTCs.
OK:
DTC B1266 or B1267 is not output.
NG -- CHECK DTC OUTPUT
OK -- REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER Removal
5. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Reconnect the J49 connector.*1
*1: w/ Tire Pressure Warning System
(b) Disconnect the J34 connector.
(c) Clear the DTC Multiplex Communication System.
(d) Recheck for DTCs.
OK:
DTC B1266 or B1267 is not output.
NG -- CHECK DTC OUTPUT
OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Removal
6. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Reconnect the J34 connector.
(b) Disconnect the J58 connector.
(c) Clear the DTC Multiplex Communication System.
(d) Recheck for DTCs.
OK:
DTC B1266 or B1267 is not output.
NG -- CHECK DTC OUTPUT
OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal
7. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Disconnect the J34 connector.
(b) Clear the DTC Multiplex Communication System.
(c) Recheck for DTCs.
Result:
B -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
A -- Continue to next step.
8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
(a) Disconnect the J76 connector.
(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
