Removal





REAR SUSPENSION: REAR LOWER ARM: REMOVAL

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

2. REMOVE NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR Removal

3. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE Removal

4. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a jack and wooden block, jack up the rear axle assembly to replicate standard vehicle height conditions.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly.

NOTICE:
Turn the bolts while holding the nuts.

5. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY

(a) Support the rear axle assembly with a jack using a wooden block.

(b) Remove the bolt (B) and nut, and separate the rear shock absorber with coil spring.

NOTICE:
Turn the bolt while holding the nut.

(c) Remove the bolt and nut (C), and separate the rear stabilizer link assembly and the height control sensor link bracket.

HINT
There is only the height control sensor link bracket on vehicles with the HID headlight system.

(d) Remove the nut and bolt (A), and separate the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly.

NOTICE:
Turn the bolt while holding the nut.

(e) Remove the bolt, washer, nut (D) and rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly.
