SEAT BELT: FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal Service Precautions.

2. OPEN METAL TOP ROOF Removal

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system Diagnosis System.

4. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM GARNISH LH Removal

5. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM GARNISH RH Removal

6. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH Removal

7. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH Removal

8. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY WITH REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the lap belt outer anchor cover.

11. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor end of the front seat outer belt assembly.

12. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

(a) Remove the belt guide.

(1) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 claws.

(2) Disengage the 3 guides and remove the belt guide.

(b) Remove the 5 bolts.

(d) w/ Front Center Speaker:

(1) Disconnect the connector.

(e) Pass the anchor part of front seat outer belt through the front quarter trim panel assembly and remove the front quarter trim panel assembly.

13. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

(a) Remove the belt guide.

(1) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 claws.

(2) Disengage the 3 guides and remove the belt guide.

(b) Remove the 5 bolts.

(d) w/ Belt Tension Sensor:

(1) Remove the bolt and disconnect the connector.

(2) Disengage the 2 clamps.

(3) Pass the wire harness for floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly through the floor carpet and disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly.

(e) w/o Belt Tension Sensor:

(1) Remove the bolt.

14. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

(a) w/ Front Center Speaker:

(1) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Pass the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly through the front quarter trim panel assembly and remove the front quarter trim panel assembly.

15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the shoulder anchor with bolt of the front seat outer belt assembly.

(b) Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button in the direction shown by the arrow to release the lock, and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(c) Disconnect each connector.

(d) Remove the 2 bolts and the front seat outer belt assembly.
