Installation

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

(a) Connect the 2 airbag connectors.





NOTICE:
* When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
* Be sure to only connect the connectors to each corresponding color.

(b) Push in the locks to install the airbag connectors.

(c) Engage the 2 clamps to install the No. 2 instrument panel wire to the front passenger airbag assembly.





2. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 5 hooks (A).





(b) Push the front passenger airbag assembly to engage the 5 hooks (B).

(c) Install the 2 screws to install the front passenger airbag assembly.





3. INSTALL NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT Reassembly

4. INSTALL NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT Reassembly

5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD ASSEMBLY Installation

6. CONNECT NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

(a) Check that the engine switch is off.

(b) Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

(c) Connect the connector.





NOTICE:
When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

7. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT

Refer to the procedure from Install No. 1 Console Box Duct Installation.

8. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK

(a) Perform a diagnostic system check Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
