B2070 - VSC Buzzer

DESCRIPTION

When the skid control ECU detects a malfunction in the VSC warning buzzer (skid control buzzer) circuit, a malfunction signal is sent to the distance control ECU, and a DTC is stored. Although the skid control ECU sends a malfunction signal to the distance control ECU, the vehicle stability control system does not stored a relevant malfunction detection DTC.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, initialization must be performed Pre-Collision System.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SKID CONTROL BUZZER)

(a) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, then check that the skid control buzzer sounds Data List / Active Test.

Chassis/ABS/VSC/TRC





OK:

Skid control buzzer sounds.

NG -- GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Skid Control Buzzer Circuit
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM)

(a) Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision / Trouble Codes.

(b) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.

(c) Recheck for DTCs.

OK:

DTC B2070 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU Removal
