B2055 - Radar Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when one of the following occurs: 1) an error in communication with the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is detected, or 2) vehicle information sent from the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is abnormal. If output, perform initialization on the radar sensor assembly to register the vehicle information to the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Initialization must be performed Pre-Collision System.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

(a) Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision / Trouble Codes.

(b) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.

(c) Recheck for DTCs.

OK:

CAN communication system DTC is not output.

NG -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM How to Proceed With Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Turn the cruise control main switch on.

(b) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 45 km/h (27 mph) or more.

(c) Check DTCs for dynamic radar cruise control system Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System.

OK:

DTC P1570 is not output.

NG -- GO TO DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM)

(a) Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision / Trouble Codes.

(b) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.

(c) Drive the vehicle.

(d) Recheck for DTCs.

OK:

DTC B2055 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU Removal
