2AZ-FXE ENGINE MECHANICAL: REAR CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL: REMOVAL

1. SEPARATE HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY

HINT
Removal.

2. REMOVE TRANSMISSION INPUT DAMPER ASSEMBLY

(a) Using SST, hold the crankshaft.

SST : 09330-00021

(b) Remove the 6 bolts and transmission input damper from the flywheel.





3. REMOVE FLYWHEEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 8 bolts and flywheel.





4. REMOVE ENGINE REAR OIL SEAL

(a) Using a knife, cut through the oil seal lip.

(b) Using a screwdriver with its tip taped, pry out the oil seal.

NOTICE:
After the removal, check the crankshaft for damage. If it is damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.
