Disassembly

EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: REAR BUMPER: DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal

2. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR BEZEL (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal

4. REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION LH

(a) Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear bumper extension LH.

5. REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

6. REMOVE REAR LOWER SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 14 rear spoiler retainers.





(b) Remove the rear lower spoiler sub-assembly.

7. REMOVE REAR SPOILER COVER LH

(a) Remove the 9 rear spoiler retainers.





(b) Remove the rear spoiler cover LH.

8. REMOVE REAR SPOILER COVER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

9. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the guide and remove the reflex reflector assembly LH.

10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE EXTENSION RH

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove rear bumper side extension RH.

11. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disengage the guide and remove the reflex reflector assembly RH.





12. REMOVE LUGGAGE ROOM NO. 3 WIRE (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

(a) Disengage the clamp and remove the luggage room No. 3 wire.





13. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH

(a) Remove the 3 screws.





(b) Disengage the 5 claws and remove the rear bumper side retainer LH.

14. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

15. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER LH

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear bumper upper retainer LH.

16. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

17. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

(a) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the rear bumper energy absorber.





18. REMOVE REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 nuts and rear bumper reinforcement sub-assembly.
