Removal





INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD

(a) Remove the rear No. 2 floor board.

2. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX

(a) Remove the rear deck floor box.

3. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD

(a) Remove the rear No. 3 floor board.

4. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH

(a) Remove the clip.





(b) Disengage the 6 guides and remove the deck floor box RH.

5. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD UPPER NO. 3 PLATE

(a) Disengage the 4 claws and 2 guides, and remove the rear floor board upper No. 3 plate.





6. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK Removal

8. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH Removal

9. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH Removal

10. REMOVE REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD (w/o Woofer)

(a) Remove the rear No. 4 floor board.

11. REMOVE REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD (w/ Woofer)

(a) Disengage the 2 clips and 3 guides, and remove the rear No. 4 floor board.





12. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH (w/o Woofer)

(a) Remove the clip.





(b) Disengage the 6 guides and remove the deck floor box LH.

13. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover)

(a) Remove the tonneau cover assembly.

14. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips, and remove the rear No. 1 floor board sub-assembly.





15. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the claw and 2 clips, and remove the rear No. 2 floor board sub-assembly.





16. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR BOARD

(a) Remove the bolt.





(b) Disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips, and remove the rear No. 1 floor board.

17. REMOVE DECK TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and guide (A).





(b) Disengage the 2 guides (B) and remove the deck trim service hole cover.

18. REMOVE REAR DECK TRIM COVER

(a) Disengage the 4 clips and remove the rear deck trim cover.





19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

for Manual Seat Removal

for Power Seat Removal

20. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

21. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

(a) Disengage the 4 claws, 2 guides and 4 clips, and remove the front door scuff plate LH.





22. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the clip as shown in the illustration.





(b) Disengage the clip and claw, and remove the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH.

23. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

(a) Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

(b) Remove the residual weatherstrip sealant from the body of the vehicle using cleaner.

NOTICE:
Remove the sealant completely. Any residual sealant may transfer to other areas of the vehicle when removing/installing the interior parts.

24. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

(a) Pull the upper part of the garnish toward the inside of the cabin and disengage the 2 clips.

Make the front pillar garnish LH hang down from the front pillar garnish clip.

(b) Turn the end of the front pillar garnish clip 90° with needle-nosed pliers and remove it from the front pillar garnish LH.





NOTICE:
* Front pillar garnish clips are reusable if they are not removed from the vehicle and have no damage.
* Replace the front pillar garnish clips with new ones if they are removed from the vehicle.

HINT
Tape the tip of the needle-nosed pliers before use.

(c) Disengage the 2 guides.

(d) w/o Front Center Speaker:

(1) Remove the front pillar garnish LH by pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration.

(e) w/ Front Center Speaker:

(1) Disconnect the front pillar garnish LH by pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration.

(2) Disconnect the connector and remove the front pillar garnish LH.

(f) Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly.

(1) Cover the airbag with a cloth or piece of nylon and secure the ends of the cover with tape as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:
Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.

25. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

(a) Disengage the 4 claws, 2 guide and 2 clips, and remove the rear door scuff plate LH.





26. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

(a) Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

(b) Remove the residual weatherstrip sealant from the body of the vehicle using cleaner.

NOTICE:
Remove the sealant completely. Any residual sealant may transfer to other areas of the vehicle when removing/installing the interior parts.

27. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER (for LH Side) Removal

28. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

29. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH

(a) Disengage the 4 claws and 2 clips, and remove the center pillar lower garnish LH.





30. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH LH

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the 2 clips.

(c) Pass the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH through the center pillar garnish LH and remove the center pillar garnish LH.

31. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

32. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

33. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

34. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

38. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

39. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH RH

40. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH RH

41. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH

(a) Remove the clip.





(b) Disengage the 6 claws and remove the rear seat side garnish LH.

42. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws.

(b) Remove the bolt and the rope hook assembly.

43. REMOVE LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

(a) Remove the bolt.





(b) Disengage the guide and remove the luggage hold belt striker assembly.

44. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER HOOK (for LH Side)

(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and pin, and remove the tonneau cover hook.

45. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER HOLDER CAP (for LH Side)

(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the claws and guide, and remove the tonneau cover holder cap.

46. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

47. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the 3 screws.

(b) Disengage the 4 claws and 3 clips, and remove the deck trim side panel assembly LH.





48. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 claws and 2 guides, and disconnect the belt guide.





(b) Disengage the 8 clips

(c) Pass the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly LH through the roof side inner garnish assembly LH and remove the roof side inner garnish assembly LH.





49. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE COVER RH

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and 2 clips, and remove the rear seat side cover RH.





50. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

51. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

52. REMOVE LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

53. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER HOOK (for RH Side)

(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and pin, and remove the tonneau cover hook.

54. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER HOLDER CAP (for RH Side)

55. REMOVE NO. 2 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

56. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

57. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH

58. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH

59. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY

Removal

60. REMOVE BACK DOOR WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Remove the back door weatherstrip.

(b) Remove the residual weatherstrip sealant from the body of the vehicle using cleaner.

NOTICE:
Remove the sealant completely. Any residual sealant may transfer to other areas of the vehicle when removing/installing the interior parts.

61. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

62. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

63. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR STAY HOLDER COVER (w/ EC Mirror) Removal

64. REMOVE RAIN SENSOR COVER (w/ Rain Sensor) Removal

65. REMOVE PROTECTOR (w/ Humidity Sensor) Removal

66. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 6 claws and remove the 2 assist grip covers.

NOTICE:
Do not forcibly pry the assist grip covers to prevent them from being deformed.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Disengage the 2 clips and remove the assist grip sub-assembly.

(c) Remove the 2 clips from the vehicle body.





HINT
Use the same procedure for the other 3 assist grip sub-assemblies.

67. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER (for LH Side)

(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover LH.





68. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws and the visor assembly LH.





69. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER (for RH Side)

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

70. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

71. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF OPENING TRIM MOULDING (w/ Sliding Roof)

(a) Remove the sliding roof opening trim moulding.

72. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER

(a) Turn the visor holder approximately 45° and pull it out as shown in the illustration.





(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the visor holder.

HINT
Use the same procedure for the other visor holder.

73. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (w/o Sliding Roof)

(a) w/ EC Mirror:

(1) Disconnect the inner rear view mirror connector.

(b) w/ Humidity Sensor

(1) Disconnect the humidity sensor connector.

(c) w/ Rain Sensor

(1) Disconnect the rain sensor connector.

(d) w/o Satellite Radio:

(1) Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the connector from the front pillar RH.

(2) Disconnect the connector from the rear pillar RH.

(e) w/ Satellite Radio:

(1) Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the 2 connectors from the front pillar RH.

(2) Disconnect the 2 connectors from the rear pillar RH.

(f) Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the 2 connectors from the front pillar LH.

(g) Remove the 3 clips.

(h) Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the back door.





NOTICE:
Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or body interior.

74. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (w/ Sliding Roof)

(a) w/ EC Mirror:

(1) Disconnect the inner rear view mirror connector.

(b) w/ Humidity Sensor

(1) Disconnect the humidity sensor connector.

(c) w/ Rain Sensor

(1) Disconnect the rain sensor connector.

(d) w/o Satellite Radio:

(1) Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the connector from the front pillar RH.

(2) Disconnect the connector from the rear pillar RH.

(e) w/ Satellite Radio:

(1) Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the 2 connectors from the front pillar RH.

(2) Disconnect the 2 connectors from the rear pillar RH.

(f) Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the 2 connectors from the front pillar LH.

(g) Disconnect the connector from the sliding roof drive gear assembly.

(h) Remove the 3 clips.

(i) Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the back door.
