Smart Access System With Push-Button Start (For Start Function)





THEFT DETERRENT / KEYLESS ENTRY: SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (for Start Function): TERMINALS OF ECU

HINT
* For the layout of the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) terminals, refer to the following Smart Access System With Push-Button Start (For Entry Function).
* For the layout of the ID code box terminals, refer to the following Smart Access System With Push-Button Start (For Entry Function).

1. CHECK POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU





(a) Disconnect the A20, H3 and H4 connectors.

(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

(c) Reconnect the A20, H3 and H4 connectors.

(d) Measure the voltage and check for pulses according to the value(s) in the table below.





(e) Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform of the ECU.

HINT
The wavelength becomes shorter as the vehicle speed increases.
