Installation

PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE PEDAL: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE RELEASE CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

2. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the No. 1 parking brake cable to the control pedal with the bolt and 2 nuts.





Torque : 19 Nm (195 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)

(b) Install the clip for the No. 1 parking brake cable.

(c) Temporarily install the adjusting nut and lock nut.

(d) Install the release cable with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

(e) Connect the switch connector.

3. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

4. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE Reassembly

5. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

(a) Install the wheel with the 5 nuts.

Torque : 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

(b) Install the ornament with the 10 bolts.

Torque : 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

6. CHECK PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL Adjustments

7. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL Adjustments

8. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY Installation

9. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

10. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH Installation

11. INSTALL DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH Installation

12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

13. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform initialization Testing and Inspection.

NOTICE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

14. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Check the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
