P060E - Internal Control Module Throttle Position Performance

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

The ECM monitors the input signals of the Throttle Position (TP) sensor No. 1 and stop light switch. As the ECM monitors the input signals of the TP sensor No. 1 and the STP signals of the stop light switch, if the input signals and control signals deviate, the DTC is output.

CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN





1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

2. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.

3. Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure) DTC Check / Clear.

4. Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.

5. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on [A].

6. Wait 16 seconds or more.

7. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

8. Read the DTCs [B].

HINT
- If a DTC is output, the system is malfunctioning.
- If a DTC is not output, perform the following procedure.

9. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Utility / All Readiness.

10. Input the DTC: P060E.

11. Check the DTC judgment result.





HINT
If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.

12. If the test result is INCOMPLETE or UNKNOWN and no DTC is output, perform a universal trip and check for permanent DTCs DTC Check / Clear.

HINT
- If a permanent DTC is output, the system is malfunctioning.
- If no permanent DTC is output, the system is normal.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ OUTPUT DTC (DTC P060E)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream ON.

(d) Clear DTCs DTC Check / Clear.

(e) Turn the engine switch off and turn the Techstream off.

(f) Disconnect the Techstream.

(g) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and wait for 1 minute Service Precautions.

(h) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal Service Precautions.

(i) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(j) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(k) Turn the Techstream ON.

(l) Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

(m) Read the DTCs.
