Removal





BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER: REMOVAL

NOTICE:
Release the vacuum from the booster by depressing the brake pedal several times. Then remove the brake master cylinder sub-assembly from the brake booster assembly.

1. PRECAUTION (W/ Navigation System for HDD)

NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and setting. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

5. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

NOTICE:
If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately wash it off.

6. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

7. SEPARATE NO. 3 ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK

(a) Remove the bolt, nut and No. 3 engine room relay block.





NOTICE:
Cover the No. 3 engine room relay block with a piece of cloth to prevent brake fluid from getting on it.

8. DISCONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR HOSE (for Manual Transmission)

(a) Move the clip and disconnect the clutch reservoir hose from the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly.

9. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the clamp and disconnect the connector.





(b) Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the 2 brake lines from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.





(c) Remove the 2 nuts and brake master cylinder sub-assembly from the brake booster assembly.





NOTICE:
Do not damage the brake lines.

(d) Remove the O-ring from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.
