ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY





(a) Apply battery voltage to the closer motor and check operation of the motor.

OK:





* If the result is not as specified, replace the closer.





(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.

Standard resistance:





* If the result is not as specified, replace the closer.

(c) Measure the resistance of the open/close position detection switch.





Standard resistance (Open switch):





Standard resistance (Closer switch):





* If the result is not as specified, replace the closer.

2. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR STRIKER ASSEMBLY





(a) Measure the resistance of the switch.

Standard resistance:





* If the result is not as specified, replace the striker.
