B2070
PRE-COLLISION: PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM: B2070: VSC Buzzer
B2070 - VSC Buzzer
DESCRIPTION
Based on pre-collision control, the distance control ECU communicates to the driver to be careful. The distance control ECU performs this by sending a sounding signal to the skid control ECU to sound the skid control buzzer.
When the skid control ECU detects a malfunction in the VSC warning buzzer circuit, a malfunction signal is sent to the seat belt control ECU, and a DTC is stored. Although the skid control ECU sends a malfunction signal to the seat belt control ECU, the skid control ECU does not stored a relevant malfunction detection DTC.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Initialization must be performed Pre-Collision System.
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SKID CONTROL BUZZER)
(a) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, then check that the skid control buzzer sounds (Vehicle stability control system: Data List / Active Test, Electronically controlled brake system: Data List / Active Test).
Chassis/ABS/VSC/TRC
OK:
Skid control buzzer sounds.
NG -- GO TO BRAKE CONTROL SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM)
(a) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.
(b) Recheck for DTCs.
OK:
DTC B2070 is not output.
NG -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU
OK -- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS (SYMPTOMS SIMULATION) How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
