B1273 - Sliding Roof ECU Communication Stop

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is detected when communication between the sliding roof drive gear (sliding roof control ECU) and network gateway ECU stops for more than 10 seconds.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK OPERATION

(a) Check that the tilt or slide switch can operate the sliding roof normally.

OK:

Tilt or slide switch can operate sliding roof normally.

NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF ECU) - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF ECU)

2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF ECU) - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)





(a) Disconnect the W7 gear connector.

(b) Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.

Standard Resistance:





Standard Voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK RESISTANCE OF COMMUNICATION LINE





(a) Disconnect the W7drive gear connector.

(b) Disconnect the W6 and L41 ECU connectors.

(c) Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)
