Removal





SEAT BELT: FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment Service Precautions.

2. REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP

(a) Hook a screwdriver to part A to bend it toward the inside of the cabin and release the claws. Pull the seat belt anchor cover cap RH upward and remove it.





NOTICE:
Do not damage the seat belt.

3. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

(a) for Driver seat:





(1) Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor end of the front seat outer belt assembly.

(b) for Passenger seat:





(1) Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor end of the front seat outer belt assembly.

4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE Removal

5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE Removal

6. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH Removal

7. REMOVE UPPER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH Removal

8. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the nut and disconnect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.





9. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.





10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button in the direction shown by the arrow to release the lock, and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.





HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Disconnect the connectors.

(c) Remove the 2 bolts and the front seat outer belt assembly.
