SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: REAR SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
Be sure to read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing Service Precautions.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE Removal

6. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the rear seat side airbag connector.





NOTICE:
When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts.

(c) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the rear seat side airbag assembly.
