Washer Fluid Level Warning Switch Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The front light ECU receives washer fluid level sensor information, and sends it through the multiplex communication system to the combination meter. The combination meter receives this information and illuminates the washer fluid level warning light when the washer fluid is less than a predetermined value.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (WASHER SWITCH)
(a) Using the intelligent tester or Techstream, read the Data List.
Front light ECU (Front controller)
OK:
ON (washer jar is empty) appears on the screen.
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the washer level sensor.
(b) Measure the resistance of the sensor.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SENSOR - ECU AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the W1 sensor connector.
(b) Remove the front light ECU.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
