Headlight Cleaner Motor and Relay Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects the conditions of the headlight cleaner motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT CLEANER WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the washer jar.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the headlight cleaner washer motor connector and check the operation of the headlight cleaner washer motor and pump.
OK:

HINT: This check should be performed with the headlight cleaner washer motor and pump installed to the washer jar.

NG -- REPLACE HEADLIGHT CLEANER WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (RELAY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the H3 relay connector.
(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MOTOR AND PUMP - RELAY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the H4 motor and pump connector.
(b) Disconnect the H3 relay connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
