TIRE AND WHEEL: TIRE AND WHEEL SYSTEM: INSPECTION

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT TIRE
(a) Check the tires for wear and proper inflation pressure.
Standard cold tire inflation pressure:





HINT:
*1: For driving under 180 km/h (112 mph)
*2: For driving at 180 km/h (112 mph) or over

(b) Check the tire runout.
Standard tire runout:
1.4 mm (0.055 in.) or less





2. ROTATE TIRE
HINT: See the illustration for where to rotate each tire.

3. INSPECT WHEEL BALANCE
(a) Check and adjust off-the-car balance.
Standard unbalance after adjustment:
8.0 g (0.018 lb) or less
NOTICE:




- Remove dirt, oil and water from the balance weight surface with cleaning detergent.
- Do not touch the adhesive part of the balance weight.
- Adhere the sticking type balance weight to the flat position shown in the illustration.
- Push the balance weight securely with a finger to adhere it to the position. (Pushing force: 10 kgf/more than 2 seconds)
- Do not reuse balance weight.
- Please use LEXUS genuine sticking type balance weight.

4. INSPECT WHEEL BEARING BACKLASH
(a) Inspect the front wheel bearing backlash Front Axle Hub.
(b) Inspect the rear wheel bearing backlash Rear Axle Hub.
5. INSPECT AXLE HUB DEVIATION
(a) Inspect for front axle hub deviation Front Axle Hub.
(b) Inspect for rear axle hub deviation Rear Axle Hub.
