DESCRIPTION
This circuit detects the conditions of the stop light switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (STOP LIGHT SWITCH)
(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the stop light switch.
Body No. 2
OK:
ON (brake pedal is depressed) appears on the screen.
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the stop light switch.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SWITCH - DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU AND BATTERY)
(a) Disconnect the S10 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the D2 ECU connector.
(c) Disconnect the voltage of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard voltage:
(d) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU - ECM)
(a) Disconnect the D2 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the E5 ECM connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU - SHIFT CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the D4 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the S4 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU - SKID CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the D4 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the S7 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
