Hazard Warning Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The hazard warning switch sends a signal to the driver side junction block ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT A/C CONTROL ASSEMBLY (HAZARD WARNING SWITCH)




(a) Remove the A/C control.
(b) Measure the resistance of the A/C control.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE A/C CONTROL ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (A/C CONTROL - ECU AND BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the A9 and A10 A/C control connectors.
(b) Disconnect the D4 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - BATTERY)




(a) Disconnect the 2D junction block connector.
(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
