DESCRIPTION

The driver side junction block sends power mirror switch signals through the multiplex communication line to the multiplex network door ECU front LH and RH (driver and passenger door ECU). While the theft warning ECU is sending an ACC signal through the multiplex communication line to the door ECU front LH and RH, the RIGHT, LEFT, UP and DOWN mirror surface operation occurs.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR)
(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the outer rear view mirror.

OK:
On Techstream screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.
OK -- REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH (MIRROR MASTER SWITCH AND MIRROR CONTROL SWITCH)




(a) Select L or R on the mirror master switch.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:
Mirror master switch





Mirror control switch





NG -- REPLACE OUTER MIRROR SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (OUTER MIRROR SWITCH [MIRROR MASTER SWITCH AND MIRROR CONTROL SWITCH] - ECU)




(a) Disconnect the R4 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the D5 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)
