Steering Pad Switch Circuit
DESCRIPTION
This circuit sends an operation signal from the steering pad switch to the radio receiver.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR ANY FOREIGN OBJECT
(a) Check that no foreign object is in the steering pad switch cover.
OK:
No foreign object.
NG -- REMOVE FOREIGN OBJECT
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER - SPIRAL CABLE)
(a) Disconnect the M6 panel connector.
(b) Disconnect the C10 cable connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK STEERING PAD SWITCH MODULATOR (TEL 2 VOLTAGE)
(a) Measure the voltage of the switch.
Standard voltage:
NG -- REPLACE STEERING PAD SWITCH MODULATOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the switch connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the cable connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance of the cable.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
