DTC B1221 - Power Window Switch Circuit on Driver Door

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when any of the switches on the power window regulator master switch assembly is operated.
HINT:
- If this DTC is output when a switch is not operated, one of the switches may be stuck.
- If this DTC is not output when a switch is operated, the switch's contact is defective.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY




(a) Remove the master switch.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch when the switch is operated.
Standard resistance:
for Driver switch





for Door control switch





NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MASTER SWITCH - DOOR ECU FRONT LH)




(a) Disconnect the P14 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the D17 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU FRONT LH
