Removal








SEAT: REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): REMOVAL

REMOVAL
CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seatback spring, seat adjuster and seat cushion spring may injure your hands.
HINT: Before removing the rear seat, make sure to move the seat 37 mm (1.46 in.) from the rearmost position.

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Removal
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.





3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Detach the 2 front hooks of the seat cushion from the seat cushion adjuster.
NOTICE:
- If the areas close to the insertion location of the rear seat cushion lock hooks (A) are not lifted straight up, the cushion spring may become deformed.
- When lifting the rear seat cushion assembly, lift it quickly so that force is applied directly to the hooks. Do not lift it slowly.

Specification:






(b) Remove the seat cushion.
NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(c) Disconnect the connector.
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.





5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY CENTER
(a) Detach the front hook of the seat cushion from the vehicle body.
NOTE:
The cushion frame deforms easily. To avoid deforming the seat cushion, place your hands near the hook, and then pull up on the seat cushion.

(b) Remove the seat cushion.
NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

6. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the outer belt anchor.





(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and open the cap of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(c) Remove the seat belt from the belt guide.





(d) Remove the bolt and pry out the junction block.
(e) Disconnect the 3 connectors.





(f) Disconnect the connectors and wire harness clamps.





(g) Detach the seatback's upper rear side fastening tape. Using a clip remover, detach the clip.
(h) Remove the 2 nuts from the lower part of the seatback, and disconnect the air duct from the vehicle.
(i) Disconnect the seatback from the seat adjuster, and lift the seatback upwards to remove it.
NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

7. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

8. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY CENTER
(a) Lower the center armrest.





(b) Raise the headrest.





(c) Detach the 2 clips. Then detach the hook by lowering the rear seat armrest hole board, and remove the board.





(d) Remove the 2 bolts, nut and seatback center.
NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(e) Disconnect the connector.





9. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 bolts, nut and seat adjuster.
NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(b) Remove the air duct from the vehicle body.
10. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the No. 2 seat adjuster.





11. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the 4 nuts and seatback adjuster.
NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

12. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
