DESCRIPTION

The driving support ECU uses the front millimeter wave radar sensor to detect obstacles in front of and behind the vehicle, and detect the direction that the driver's head is facing. Based on this information, the driving support ECU sends pre-collision control operation signals.
This DTC is output when a communication malfunction occurs between the sensors and ECUs that detect collisions, or between ECUs that perform the pre-collision control.






INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Refer to CAN communication system (U0100, U0100).
Refer to CAN communication system (U0122, U0122).
Refer to CAN communication system (U0123, U0123).
Refer to CAN communication system (U0126, U0126).
Refer to CAN communication system (U0140, Diagnosis System).
Refer to CAN communication system (U0151, Diagnosis System).
Refer to CAN communication system (U0235, U0235).
Refer to CAN communication system (U1104, U1104).

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
(a) Select "Communication Malfunction DTC" from the "Bus Check" screen, and then select "Enter" Diagnosis System
(b) Select "Bus Check" from the "System Select" Diagnosis System
OK:
CAN communication system DTC is not output.
NG -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK
