ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Pass the cable into the engine compartment.









(b) Pass the cable rear side through the grommet until the cable stopper is attached to the grommet.
(c) Pass the cable front side through the upper radiator support.
2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the hood lock control lever and connect the hood lock control cable.









(b) Attach the 3 claws.
3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY





(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the lock.





(b) Connect the hood lock control cable and connector.





(c) Install the hood lock assembly with the 2 bolts and nut.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)
(d) Install a new hood lock nut cap.
4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER





(a) Attach the claw and install the hood lock cable cover.
(b) Install the 3 screws.
5. INSTALL LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY Installation
6. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY Testing and Inspection
7. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY Adjustments
8. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Installation
9. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY Installation
10. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR Installation
11. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR Installation
12. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER Installation
13. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation
14. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Adjustments
15. VEHICLE PREPARATION FOR FOG LIGHT AIM Adjustments
16. PREPARATION FOR FOG LIGHT AIMING Adjustments
17. FOG LIGHT AIMING INSPECTION Adjustments
18. FOG LIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT Adjustments
