Removal








1UR-FSE EXHAUST: EXHAUST PIPE: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
CAUTION:
- Wear protective gloves when removing the exhaust pipe.
- The exhaust pipe is extremely hot immediately after the engine has stopped.
- Confirm that the exhaust pipe has cooled down before removing it.

1. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.





(b) Remove the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the 6 exhaust pipe supports.
(c) Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly.
2. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE DAMPER





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and damper.
3. REMOVE EXHAUST TAIL PIPE BAFFLE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Using a plastic-faced hammer, uniformly tap off the exhaust tail pipe baffle sub-assembly.
4. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER LH Removal
5. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER RH Removal
6. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR PANEL BRACE





(a) Remove the 4 bolts and panel brace.
7. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE





(a) Remove the 4 bolts and front center floor brace.
8. DISCONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2)
(a) Disconnect the grommets from the floor panel.





(b) Using SST, loosen the heated oxygen sensor, and the disconnect the sensor by hand.

9. DISCONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2)
(a) Disconnect the grommet from the floor panel.





(b) Using SST, loosen the heated oxygen sensor, and disconnect the heated oxygen sensor by hand.

10. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 4 bolts, 4 nuts and front exhaust pipe assembly.
(b) Remove the 2 gaskets from the exhaust manifold RH and exhaust manifold LH.
