Rear Sunshade Shift-Linked Function Does Not Operate When Shift Lever Is Moved To R Position
INTERIOR: REAR SUNSHADE SYSTEM: Rear Sunshade Shift-linked Function does not Operate when Shift Lever is Moved to R Position
Rear Sunshade Shift-linked Function does not Operate when Shift Lever is Moved to R Position
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
When the engine switch is on (IG) and the rear sunshade is raised, moving the shift lever to R causes the PNP switch to send a reverse-linked signal to the ECM. Then the ECM sends the signal through the multiplex communication line to the multiplex network rear ECU, which sends the signal to the rear sunshade relay. The relay then lowers the rear sunshade.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (REVERSE SIGNAL CONTROL)
(a) Make sure that the rear sunshade lowers.
(b) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the rear sunshade can be lowered.
Luggage Room Junction Block ECU:
OK:
Rear sunshade can be lowered.
NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (NO. 1 JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - RELAY, BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
OK -- GO TO ELECTRONIC CONTROLLED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (ECT)
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (NO. 1 JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - RELAY, BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the V25 relay connector.
(b) Disconnect the LC junction block connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK No. 1 JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the LC junction block connector.
(b) Measure the voltage of the junction block.
Standard voltage:
NG -- REPLACE No. 1 JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE REAR SUNSHADE RELAY
