2GR-FSE IGNITION: IGNITION COIL: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal
3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal
4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Removal
5. REMOVE V-BANK COVER Removal
6. DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE Removal
7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE Removal
8. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY





(a) Detach the 3 wire harness clamps and disconnect the noise filter connector.





(b) Disconnect the 6 ignition coil connectors.
(c) Remove the 6 bolts and the 6 ignition coils.
