Installation








2GR-FSE COOLING: RADIATOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the 2 radiator support cushions and 2 radiator lower supports to the radiator.





(b) Install the fan shroud to the radiator, and attach the 3 claws.





(c) Align the radiator with the condenser. Then install the radiator with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)
(d) Attach the 3 wire harness claws to the fan shroud, and then connect the connector to the cooling fan ECU.
2. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
3. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU OUTLET DUCT
4. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE
5. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE
6. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the grommet to the fan shroud.
(b) Install the reservoir with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)
(c) Connect the reservoir hose to the water inlet.
7. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Installation
8. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER Installation
9. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER Installation
10. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Installation
11. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the air cleaner case with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)
(b) Install the air cleaner element.
(c) Install the air cleaner cap Installation.
12. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation
13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
14. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair
15. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection
16. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY Adjustments
17. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER Installation
18. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
19. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Installation
20. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Installation
21. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation
22. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER (for 2WD)
23. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER (for 4WD)
24. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
