SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY:

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY






(a) Connect the connector.
NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(b) Install the driver side knee airbag assembly with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
2. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

3. INSTALL NO.1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL Installation

5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER Installation

6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE (w/o Illumination) Installation

7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE (w/ Illumination) Installation

8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
9. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
HINT: Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.

10. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
(a) Inspect the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
