DTC B2415 - Vehicle Speed Sensor Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The AFS ECU receives signals regarding the front wheel speed from the skid control ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
With VDIM model:
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK VEHICLE CONDITION
(a) Check vehicle condition.
Result:
B -- CHECK DTC (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK DTC (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)
(a) Check that vehicle stability control system DTCs are not output Vehicle Stability Control System (w/ VDIM).
Result:
B -- REPAIR CIRCUITS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS
A -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU WITH ACTUATOR - AFS ECU)
(a) Disconnect the A14 skid control ECU with actuator connector.
(b) Disconnect the A28 AFS ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK AFS ECU
(a) Disconnect the A28 AFS ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
(1) Waveform 1: Oscilloscope wave
OK:
Waveform is output as shown in the illustration.
Result:
C -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
B -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
A -- REPLACE AFS ECU
5. CHECK DTC (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)
(a) Check that a vehicle stability control system DTC is not output Vehicle Stability Control System (w/o VDIM).
Result:
B -- REPAIR CIRCUITS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS
A -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - AFS ECU)
(a) Disconnect the A28 AFS ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the A35 skid control ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK AFS ECU
(a) Disconnect the A28 AFS ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
(1) Waveform 1: Oscilloscope wave
OK:
Waveform is output as shown in the illustration.
Result:
C -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
B -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
A -- REPLACE AFS ECU
